Unfortunately, Door County has an above-average (per capita) suicide rate impacting all age groups. Many in our community have recognized the seriousness of this situation in our County and have been working on outreach and community education efforts to reduce the alarming rate by which suicide is robbing our families of their loved ones. Having conversations with your children about suicide is a way to promote prevention at home.
