OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Door County Partnership for Children and Families (DCPCF) is to promote resilience, strength, and social-emotional well-being for the families in our community.

OUR VISION
The DCPCF strives to achieve its mission by:

  • Working collaboratively with partner organizations
  • Working to reduce stigma, increase awareness and improve access to mental
    health resources
  • Providing inclusive educational opportunities within the community
  • Connecting people to resources using a family centered approach
  • Promoting family strength and self-advocacy
  • Promoting safety, social wellbeing and school success

The Partnership is open to any Door County Community member. You are especially encouraged to attend our quarterly Partnership meetings to hear what the Partnership has been working on. This partnership programs are person-centered and require feedback from community members to be successful. Please be sure to share any feedback or suggestions you may have, we want to hear from you!

Door County Partnership for Children and Families (DCPCF) – Committee Descriptions

Executive Committee: This committee is responsible for the general oversight of the DCPCF. Members include DCPCF staff and individuals from several partner organizations.

Family Enrichment Sub-Committee: This sub-committee is responsible for developing and facilitating opportunities for engagement, enrichment and leadership for Door County parents and families. Sub-committee members include DCPCF Coordinator, DCPCF Family Engagement Leader, individuals from various partner organizations and parent representatives.

Collaboration Sub-Committee: This sub-committee is responsible for developing opportunities and maintaining collaborative efforts between the DCPCF, our partner organizations and community members. Sub-committee members include DCPCF Coordinator and individuals from various partner organizations.

Marketing Sub-Committee: This sub-committee meets as needed and is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies for the DCPCF. Sub-committee members include the DCPCF Coordinator, DCPCF Community Connector, individuals from partner organizations and parent representatives.

Community Resource Sub-Committee: This sub-committee is responsible for updating and maintaining the Community Resource Guide on the Door County Library website. Sub-committee members include the DCPCF Coordinator, DCPCF Community Connector, and individuals from partner organizations.

Welcome Baby Committee:  This committee is responsible for the development and implementation of the Welcome Baby program.  This committee was formed in 2018.  The objective of this program is to develop a system of care for families with newborn children that ensures: 

  • All families are aware of community resources
  • Families most in need are connected to ongoing supports
  • Children receive the best possible chance to grow up healthy, safe, and ready to learn

DCPCF Meeting: This informational meeting is held quarterly and is open to the public. The meeting begins with round-robin introductions and partner organization updates. An update is provided by the DCPCF Executive Committee, followed by brief sub-committee reports. Each meeting includes additional discussion topics to encourage consumer voice in planning DCPCF initiatives.

DCPCF – Quarterly Meetings

DUE TO COVID-19 MEETINGS ARE HELD VIRTUALLY

All meetings will be held at The Door County Justice Center at 8:15 a.m. Partnership meetings are open to the public. Please consider attending and feel free to invite others to attend. The more community and parent feedback we receive the better our program can serve the needs of our community!
